Social responsibility

Skanska takes its social responsibility very seriously. We are committed to operating in accordance with the highest standards in terms of labour practices, human rights, impacts on society and product responsibility.

We seek to maximise the opportunity that exists on many of our construction and infrastructure projects, such as hospitals and schools, to maximise the use of local labour for both construction and operation.

Within this broad social agenda, a number of specific areas are particularly important to Skanska. Our commitment to other parts of the social agenda is set out in our Code of Conduct (click on the image to the right to view our code of conduct). 

The Code of Conduct defines how Skanska conducts its business. It was first established in 2002 and revised and updated in 2008. All Skanska employees are expected to read, understand and live by the Code.
