Career development

At Skanska, we encourage our people to grow – both personally and professionally.

To provide a better picture of its management capacity and in-house talents, every year the Group conducts its Talent Review, a major evaluation of all managers and a number of other key individuals in each business unit. The aim is to evaluate individual professional development needs, ensure that a given employee is in the right position and to do succession planning.

Global development programs are customized for selected target groups.

Skanska Unlimited – a global employee exchange program aimed at expanding your network within the Skanska group, typically with a 3–6 month period of hands-on experience in another part of the world.

Skanska Stretch - a global development program for people who have been identified to be ready to move into a leadership role.

STEP - Skanska Top Executive Program. For one year, 40 employees participate in this leadership training program so that they can make a maximum contribution to profitable growth. The program is provided in collaboration with the IMD strategic and leadership institute in Switzerland.
