This project saw Skanska UK combine its skills to develop a state-of-the-art solution for client Development Securities. Known as One Kingdom Street, the building was designed around two central atria to incorporate a core feature of six scenic passenger lifts.

EnvironmentA number of sustainable measures were adopted throughout the construction phase in regards to energy & water use and waste management. Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) were used to monitor continual improvement of environmental performance on site.

Developing the projectThe project, known as One Kingdom Street, was designed around two central atria to incorporate a core feature of six scenic passenger lifts. The building comprises ten floors of flexible office space that sit in part above a two-story ancillary zone and deck structure to enclose future works access for the construction of London's Crossrail.
Constructing the projectBuilding, mechanical and electrical, ground engineering and specialist Operating Units. Skanska also undertook key infrastructure works for Development Securities as part of this project. This included the creation of an extensive access deck to One Kingdom Street and subsequent Phase 2 developments, construction of a new electrical chamber to serve the entire site and the installation of all primary services for the complete development.
