150 New Bond Street
Completed early and on budget
30,500 ft2 over 6 floors
In the heart of London’s luxury shopping district, Skanska demolished an existing building and replaced it with a six-storey retail and office development – with minimal disturbance to trade.
Despite complex temporary works to ensure the neighbouring buildings and roads were supported, the project was completed on budget and handed over five weeks early.
In keeping with the opulence of the area, the building was fitted with punch hole windows and was clad with Portland Stone.
The whole development included the de-commissioning, temporary re-location and final installation of a new sub-station for UK Power Networks, a process that was successfully led by Skanska.
A quality refit, while occupied

The clever part of this job was that the building was occupied throughout by office workers.
The refurbishment of four floors of office space, including all landlord services, was carried out with great care and consideration for the occupants.
Keeping the facilities operational throughout, the reception, lifts and the rest rooms were upgraded.
Mechanical and electrical services were installed, including chillers and cooling towers, boilers, fan coil units, lighting, power systems and a low voltage sub-station.
