Skanska works with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to ensure that services personnel and their families, plus their civilian support teams, have access to the best logistics and training centres, accommodation and communications facilities.
Work with the DIO doesn’t end once the buildings are complete – our relationships with our client often include facilities management, such as the agreement to provide ongoing support services at the Ministry of Defence HQ in Whitehall, following successful project delivery.
Understanding our client’s need to retain operational capability throughout project lifecycles means actively working collaboratively to deliver environmentally friendly, sustainable buildings, on time and within budget.
Our in-house expertise provides a single solution to match our customer’s needs and our dedicated team of defence professionals have considerable experience of working both for, and with, the DIO and more widely with the Ministry of Defence.
Collaborating with customers, partners and our supply chain, our aim is to make a positive difference to society. Our forward-looking approach to sustainability is expressed through Our Journey to Deep Green™, where our aim is for all Skanska projects to have a near-zero impact on the environment.
