As part of a joint venture with Costain, Skanska is working on a number of contracts on the Crossrail project. Europe’s biggest engineering project, Crossrail will increase capacity on London’s transport network.

We are doing civil engineering works, advanced works, ticket hall fit-out and the main construction for the western and eastern ticket halls at Bond Street station.

At Eleanor Street and Mile End, Stratford and Liverpool Street stations, we are building 30 metre deep shafts to house ventilation facilities and emergency exits.

We have significant involvement in building the new Paddington Station, including restoring existing historical features.

At the Pudding Mill Lane and Royal Oak portals – where some of the tunnels begin – we have carried out advanced works, put in diaphragm wall foundations and built bridges.

As part of the Crossrail project, we have installed special monitoring equipment for Thames Water. This has been fitted to existing trunk and distribution mains across 60 locations.
