Our communities

Skanska has an inclusive culture, where differences are valued and individuality embraced. One of the ways we support this is through our influential employee network groups. These are made up of people who share similar values of supporting and encouraging diversity and inclusion.

Lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender (LGBT)

Our LGBT network extends far wider than Skanska. We're committed to making the industry more open and connected and are part of the LGBT in Construction Working Group. The group represents the industry to promote construction as a diverse and great place to work.

Women's network

This is a group of like-minded people who discuss and implement initiatives to help change the perception of construction. They promote the industry as a great place for both men and women to work.

Graduate network

Skanska welcomes a new cohort of graduates every year. Alongside their placements, the graduates work together to deliver social agenda projects that support the communities we work in. This enables the new starters to stay connected and support each other, as they begin their working lives at Skanska.

Ex-military network

We work with the military and its related charities, such as the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), to help employees in their transition to civilian employment. We help them build a structured career path, with the essential support and networks in place, to help them succeed after they join.
