Skanska’s facilities services team has stepped out to support two Surrey hospices.

Phil Jenkins, Bid Manager for Skanska’s facilities services team, encouraged colleagues to take part in Activity4Charity’s six week health challenge to raise money for Woking and Sam Beare hospices. Five Skanska teams raised a total of £200 for the local charities by significantly increasing the amount they walked every day for six weeks.

Katy Dowding, Managing Director of Skanska’s facilities services business said: “The pedometer challenge was just a bit of fun which ended up becoming very competitive between the offices, it was great to raise some money in the process.”

Nigel Harding CEO of the hospices added: “The involvement of companies as prestigious as Skanska raises awareness to their employees. We are very grateful for their support.”
