Closure of Houndsditch between Outwich Street and Bishopsgate
18th June 2007
Closure of Houndsditch between Outwich Street and Bishopsgate
In accordance with the agreed Corporation of London programme, the traffic signals on the junction of Bishopsgate and Wormwood/Camomile Streets are to be altered to allow left and right turns from Wormwood Street onto Bishopsgate, north and southbound. This allows Skanska to close Houndsditch between Outwich Street and Bishopsgate.
Furthermore, two new pedestrian crossings between Bevis Marks and Houndsditch will also be operational.
As of Monday 18 June 2007, temporary fencing will be erected around the island site closing the footpaths to Camomile (north), Houndsditch (south) and Outwich (west). This will be replaced on the weekend of 23/24 June 2007 with a timber hoarding. Decoration of any hoarding, adjacent to live footpaths, will continue at weekends to prevent potential damage to pedestrian clothing etc.
Norton Rose will also complete their relocation to MORE London by 22nd June 2007.
