Programming
As with all types of construction, knowing the clients drivers and business is very important. It allows the programme to be sequenced in such a way that enables access for key activities to be given at the time they are required, whilst allowing the final areas of construction to be completed in parallel. This will allow programme reduction whilst not effecting the final completion.

A further key area on such projects is the delivery of the critical plant. Most projects have to be programmed around the availability and delivery dates of the elements of plant that form the critical infrastructure. In all instances it is essential to have a contractor on board that has an intimate knowledge of the equipment and its suppliers. This will always allow the plant to be procured in the best possible time frame, utilising long standing relationships and trusts.
Our programmes always remain flexible throughout the project in order to accommodate any of the changes or issues that may occur. It is essential that any programme issues that arise are dealt with promptly and the team are given the best opportunity to advise and minimise any effects on completion of the works.
It is important to never under estimate a period of time for thoroughly testing the completed systems at the conclusion of works. Whilst there are buildings that can be commissioned during the clients occupancy, data centres are not one of them. They must be signed off as fully tested before a client ‘goes live’.
