Chris Field has joined the Skanska Innisfree consortium to head up the project company for London’s prestigious PFI Healthcare redevelopment scheme – Barts & The Royal London. Chris takes up his position as CEO with immediate effect.
Joining from AMEC, Chris brings with him a wealth of experience in the PFI marketplace. Since 1995, he has been involved in schemes in the MOD, Education and Healthcare sectors. Most recently, he has been CEO for the University College London Hospitals PFI SPV, a position he has held since 2000.
In his new role, Chris will initially spearhead the consortium, driving the scheme through to financial close in early 2005. Thereafter he will act as the primary interface between the consortium and the Trust.
Alan Gillman, Skanska said: “Chris’s wealth of PFI experience and his specific experience in bringing a major healthcare PFI project to financial close and successfully running that project through its start-up phase will be hugely beneficial to this major healthcare scheme. This will strengthen our team exactly as we had planned and we are delighted to have him on board.”
Said Tim Pearson, Innisfree: “We are delighted to have someone of Chris’s calibre on board for what is undoubtedly the most challenging and exciting healthcare redevelopment project in the UK.”
