In Bristol, we have improved the learning environment for over 15,000 secondary school pupils. This includes the construction of three completely new schools. We created over 3,500 new places, in Essex, with the construction of three new schools, in Basildon and Canvey Island. We also built a new special needs school from primary and secondary pupils, the Columbus School & College in Chelmsford.
We understand the importance of delivering projects on time and on budget. Our innovative approach, coupled with our use of modern methods of construction, ensures we deliver high-quality cost-effective projects.
We are also experts at fitting out schools with all the mechanical, electrical and public health infrastructure they need to be ready for pupils. This includes everything from lifts to ventilation, plant rooms and all the infrastructure for gas, water and electricity.
Sustainability
Our sustainability expertise is recognised throughout the construction industry. The includes our industry-leading carbon reduction target – to cut all emissions, including those from our supply chain, to net-zero by 2045.
We are to provide a range of sustainable solutions for schools. At Impington Village College in Cambridgeshire, we carried out a green retrofit, helping to cut cost and carbon emissions. We installed a number of energy-saving measures, including a biomass boiler that reduces carbon emissions by 30 percent, providing significant cost savings to the school.
Comprehensive facilities management solutions
We can provide schools with complete facilities management solutions. Our highly-skilled in-house engineers carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and statutory inspections. We also provide a range of other services, ranging from cleaning to pest control, caretaking, catering and grounds maintenance.
In Essex, we provide the full range of facilities management services to a number of schools, serving over 3,700 pupils. In Bristol, we do the same for six secondary schools.
And, across Kent and Edinburgh, we provide mechanical and electrical maintenance at a range of council buildings, including schools.
