In partnership with Bristol City Council and the Bristol Local Education Partnership (LEP), we have worked on over 30 Bristol primary schools since 2006, delivering nearly 8,000 new places, with more to come.
We have innovated – placing classrooms on a school’s roof and transforming a police station and a disused office block into schools.
We know that sustainable buildings offer healthier learning environments so we build to green standards. Find out more about our work in Bristol schools here (PDF).
In Colchester and Chelmsford, we have collaborated with Essex County Council and the Essex LEP to build three new primaries and create nearly 1,000 new places for pupils.
Working with local communities has been key to our success in Essex.
In 2005, Skanska was commissioned by Midlothian Council to build and finance eight new primary school on seven sites in the area around Edinburgh and maintain them for 30 years.
