Become a Skanska natural

The journey for all early careers roles begins online with your application, followed by some online assessments and a short interview over the phone. If you’re successful, we will invite you in for an assessment centre. The process aims to assess your skills and judgement to ensure Skanska is the right move for you and that you fit our values and ethos.

Online application
Enter your details, submit an up-to-date CV, and answer a few of our basic screening questions. The time it takes for us to respond to your application can vary but we aim to respond within one month of the advert closing date.

Online assessments
Online assessments can be daunting. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any worries or feel there is something that would enable you to perform at your best.

  • Apprentices
    Situational Judgement Assessment: You’ll read scenarios and let us know how you might respond to them.
  • Graduates, interns and trainees
    Psychometric Assessments: You’ll complete numerical, verbal or logical assessments dependent on the job you apply to.
Telephone interview
We’ll ask you some motivational and competency based questions. It usually lasts around 15-25 minutes.
Assessment centre
You’ll be invited to one of our offices where you will complete three different activities. This involves a group exercise, individual or paired exercise, and an interview.
Feedback and offer
We’ll let you know the outcome and offer you some feedback after your assessment.
