Double award success for Skanska in Bristol

Press release 19/10/2015 11:00 CET

Skanska’s development in Bristol, 66 Queen Square, has been recognised at this year’s Insider South West Property Awards.

Double award success for Project Development

Held on Thursday 8 October, the awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of property professionals in 11 categories, with 66 Queen Square shortlisted for two awards. The judges were impressed by the sympathetic design of the building, combining flexible and modern office space with the traditional architecture of Queen Square and King Street.

Set to be the new home of KPMG in Bristol, the development was 90 per cent let prior to completion at a headline rent of £28.50 per square foot.

After careful consideration by a panel of industry experts, the development was named winner of both the 2015 Office Development of the Year, and Property Deal of the Year for its sale to Aviva Investors Property Trust for £32.7 million.

Andreas Lindelöf, Managing Director, Development, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised within the industry for our development 66 Queen Square. From the beginning, our vision was to combine heritage with innovative, sustainable office space, and these awards acknowledge that we have been successful in our aims.”
