Skanska UK is one of the first construction companies to achieve company-wide Level 2 BIM Capability verification from BSI – a requirement from April 2016 for new public sector contracts.
Skanska UK received the verification from BSI, the business standards body on 2 December. It’s formal recognition that Skanska UK has established the systems and procedures necessary for BIM implementation. Skanska has achieved verification to PAS 1192-2: 2013.
In facilities management, Skanska is also one of the first to achieve company-wide verification.

The verification was achieved on the day that the BSI formally launched its verification scheme to the industry. To achieve the verification, Skanska had to demonstrate that it had developed standardised processes and procedures for BIM implementation and that these were understood and in practice across the business.
