Skanska joins Morgan Sindall, MMB, Arup and Arcadis on the Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water programme, worth around £193 million as part of the wider Alliance capital programme. Skanska’s place on the @one Alliance AMP 7 framework continues the long-established partnership of more than 15 years. The framework is worth £1.7 billion over five years. As a prominent partner with Balfour Beatty, Mott MacDonald Bentley, Barhale, MWH and SWECO, Skanska will work to build and upgrade water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as carrying out significant civils and mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) work.

Helen Martin, Skanska’s Executive Director for Infrastructure, said: “We’re proud to be a key partner in these collaborative, high-performing alliancing environments. The experience of our people, our values and approach place Skanska, our partners and our customers in a great position for a successful AMP7 and onwards.

“Our goal is to find the most innovative and efficient ways to provide the critical national infrastructure enabling our customers to crucially keep millions of people across the UK supplied with water.”

Both contracts will run through to 29 March 2025.
