Steve Jones has been appointed commercial director within Skanska’s mechanical, electrical and ceilings business. This is a new position, created to help the business take advantage of the growing infrastructure sector. Steve will join the senior management team, reporting to Managing Director Martin Neeson.
He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his civils experience at Skanska and in previous roles.
Steve has been commercial director on the M25 Skanska-Balfour Beatty joint venture for the last four years, which most recently delivered the £1 billion widening project on time and with 15 per cent savings to the client. He was previously commercial director for Mowlem civil engineering and held a senior commercial role with Carillion following its acquisition of Mowlem.
