DOCTORS IN THE HOUSE AT KVAERNER CEMENTATION FOUNDATIONS

Kvaerner Cementation Foundations’ technical team has been boosted with the news that two more of its members have been awarded doctorates - taking their total number of doctors to six.

Mel England, managing engineer at Kvaerner Construction’s specialist piling and ground engineering company, received his doctorate from Imperial College following a thesis called “A Pile Behaviour Model”.

Assistant design engineer Jonathon Morris, who was sponsored by Cementation Foundations for the last two years of his studies, received a doctorate from the University of Oxford following a thesis called “Pull Out Testing of Soil Nails”.

The pair join chief engineer Ken Fleming; Martin Pedley and Peter Shotton, technical managers; and design engineer Hrach Boghosian as the team’s doctors.
