Skanska appoints Human Resources director to drive people focused strategy

Skanska Construction has appointed Trisha Jones as Group Human Resources director to spearhead its focus on attracting, developing and retaining the best people in the construction industry.

Trisha, who brings over 20 years of successful human resource management experience from the electrical and financial services industries, will be responsible for developing the capabilities of Skanska employees to ensure they reach their full potential.

The senior level appointment recognises the strategic importance Skanska places on human resources to enable it to offer clients the best skills in the construction industry.

Welcoming her to the Skanska UK board, chief executive David Fison said, “Construction is a people oriented industry and Skanska’s main asset is its people. Trisha will play an important role in helping us to continue developing our people to ensure our clients get a consistently high quality service from Skanska.”

Working across Skanska UK Group, Trisha will focus on devising and implementing performance management and development systems to support company growth objectives. This includes succession planning and career development for younger management.

Complimenting her business experience, Trisha has an MBA from the London Business School and an MSc in Training and Development from Leicester University.
