Skanska Networks extends relationship with Kingston Communications

Press release 29/07/2003 00:00 CET

Skanska Networks’s four-year relationship with Kingston Communications has helped it win a third term as preferred supplier.

The new three-year contract, worth £1million per year, involves Skanska Networks installing telephonic, ISDN and Internet connections from Kingston’s access network into customer premises across the Hull region.

Skanska Networks and Kingston Communications have developed a close working relationship to provide customers with a seamless process. This involves Kingston Communications dealing directly with the installation teams in responding to a customer order, significantly cutting duplication of administration work by both companies.

This relationship also extends to the companies adopting each other’s quality control and audit systems in their operations to ensure a consistent measurement of performance.

Skanska Networks project manager Steve Vickers said: “We have worked hard with Kingston Communications to ensure we provide their clients with an excellent, quality service and are delighted that our relationship is to continue.”

Skanska Networks designs, builds and maintains network infrastructure throughout the UK in both the public and private sectors. It is part of the Skanska Construction group.
