Press release 30/03/2006 00:00 CET

Skanska UK is saddened to announce the death yesterday (Wednesday 29th March 2006) of John Tindle FCIPD, Business Stream HR Director, following a sudden illness.

Aged 50, John joined Skanska in 2002 as Personnel and Development Manager based at the company’s Darlington office. In 2004, he was appointed Director of HR for the company’s Civil Engineering and Specialists Business Stream. During his time with Skanska John has been both a great support to the business and had formed a number of friendships with his colleagues, all of which would like to extend their deepest sympathy to his wife and family.

Prior to joining Skanska, and following his graduation from Hull University as a Bachelor of Law, John spent the first 20 years of his career in Human Resources in the Aerospace and Automotive industry at both Dowty and Lucas.

A Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD), John was an avid sports fan - a season ticket holder to his beloved Newcastle United and with links to the National Cricket Association (NCA) from which he had received a NCA Coaching Award.
