Kvaerner Construction’s Hong Kong-based associate, Gammon Construction, has won a £31 million piling contract on the Mass Transit Railway Corporation’s Tseung Kwan O extension.
The project, due to be completed in mid 2000, is for more than 500 bored-piles and associated earthworks for the Tseung Kwon O Depot and associated buildings above it.
This is the second major project recently awarded to Gammon Construction on the extension line and follows the signing of a £48 million contract for a 2km section of bored and cut and cover tunnels.
