New marketing appointments to spearhead growth

Two key business development appointments have been made by Skanska UK’s civil and ground engineering companies.

Skanska UK Civil Engineering has appointed Andrew Scott marketing manager, with specific responsibility to build on its established presence in the infrastructure and water markets, focusing on major projects where the company’s specialised skills give it a market edge. At Cementation Foundations Skanska, Dr Jon Morris has been promoted to manager, business development, tasked to set up e-commerce and other promotional initiatives.

Andrew Scott, MCIM, MCMI, joins from McNicholas Construction Services, where he was business development manager for water and civil engineering. He brings 25 years’ experience in construction, covering building, multi-storey industrial tunnelling, pipe-jacking, micro-tunnelling, roads and water treatment.

Describing his new role, Andrew commented: “I am looking forward to the challenge, promoting strong marketing principles to help Skanska grow its civil engineering business in the UK.”

Dr Morris moves up from project engineer within Cementation Foundations to lead a new marketing & business development unit with specific responsibility for conceiving, developing and implementing a new management process for electronic commerce and marketing support. This follows the re-evaluation of the company’s marketing and business development operations.
