Press release 07/02/2003 00:00 CET

Skanska has appointed commercial directors for its UK Building and Integrated Projects business streams.

Alan Crawford joins Skanska UK Building as commercial director and is based at the Dysart Street office in London. Bringing over 30 years commercial experience with major contractors and, more recently a construction consultancy, he is responsible for all commercial activity, including estimating.

Current major UK Building projects include Swiss Re, Moor House, Stansted Airport’s Radisson Hotel and Plaza Cinema on Regent Street.

Rob Shed has been appointed commercial director for Skanska Integrated Projects (SIPs), the Skanska business responsible for PFI work, framework agreements and repeat business contracts. Based at the Maple Cross office, he previously played a key role in closing Skanska’s deal for a new PFI hospital in Coventry, the largest PFI contract of 2002.

Responsible for all commercial activity, Rob will oversee bidding on all new PFI opportunities for SIPs, together with framework agreements, which currently include those with the Scottish Prison Service and CLASP.
