51 Moorgate will be a modern, sustainable and healthy workplace where people and businesses can thrive.
Our development and construction teams are refurbishing the 45,000sqft (4,180sqm) commercial building in the heart of the City of London to provide eight floors of office space and ground-floor retail opportunities, upon completion in 2019.
When 51 Moorgate opens, Skanska’s London-based teams will occupy three office floors and welcome retail and commercial tenants into the rest of the space.
As part of the redevelopment, the team will add an extra floor and maximise the existing floor plates. They will also install floor-to-ceiling windows and deliver a reconfigured reception space.
The building is set to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and the floors occupied by Skanska will be certified to the WELL Building Standard, which will help to create a sustainable and healthy work environment for occupiers, now and in the future. The high-profile location will be further enhanced when Crossrail opens at nearby Moorgate station.
The project is being delivered with architects John Robertson Associates, building services consultant Long and Partners and structural engineers Waterman Structures.
