Morley House

  • Morley House

Clark & Fenn, Skanska’s ceiling, plasterwork, drylining and passive fire protection specialists, undertook this major drylining and plasterwork project.

Morley House, which is in Regent Street in central London, was redeveloped by Kier for the Crown Estate. The existing façade of the seven-storey property was retained, while a completely new building was constructed. The new building contains a mixture of shops – on the ground floor – and high-end residential properties on the other floors.

Clark & Fenn was contracted by Kier to carry out a range of work. This included installing a special structural steel frame. Clark & Fenn also created all of the interior walls, using a mixture of drylining and plasterboard. This means every inside wall – for example, between apartments and individual rooms – other than the exterior walls. These had to be completed to very high acoustic standards.

We also designed and installed the bespoke ceiling cornices in reception and communal areas, including a lounge.
