The world leading online accommodation booking company, which is part of the Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group, has taken the entire seventh floor, totalling 9,678sqft (899sqm), on a ten-year lease.

Alex Jordan, Skanska’s Leasing Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the third office letting at The Monument Building to such a well-known company with a strong covenant. Booking.com will join TwentyFour Asset Management and UnderwriteMe who have taken the eighth and ninth floors respectively.”

The Monument Building, designed by architect Ken Shuttleworth’s Make, features four terraces, a large reception area, state-of-the-art cycle storage and shower facilities. The building, which has been fitted with a ‘curtain’ of twisted, anodised aluminium fins on the south façade, completed in May.

Work started on site at The Monument Building in December 2013 under the Workplaces by Skanska banner and has seen three separate buildings (11-15 Monument Street, 46 Fish Street Hill and 1-2 Pudding Lane) demolished and replaced with 90,000sqft (8,361sqm) of office space and 4,000sqft (372sqm) of ground-floor retail accommodation.

One of the two retail units, on Fish Street Hill, has been let to Olive & Squash for its new salad bar concept.

Savills represented Skanska in the transaction. CBRE advised Booking.com.
