Skanska has been praised by the client for handing over the latest Fenwick department store on the exact date in the contract. Thanks to the company’s flexible programme, the store was also fitted out concurrently with construction work, enabling it to open ten days after the hand over and a week earlier than originally planned.

The five-storey Fenwick is the centrepiece of a major redevelopment of Canterbury’s Whitefriars Shopping Centre. It offers 116,000-square feet of retail floor space which includes a hair and beauty salon, customer restaurant and café.
