Kvaerner Construction’s Hong Kong company, Gammon Construction, is digging deep on the island with a new temporary excavation and foundations project.
The £11.8 million (HK$148.4m) contract is for a proposed residential development in Kowloon. It involves the design and construction of a foundation system to support 16 residential blocks and their associated car park including 210,000 cubic metres of soil excavation as well as design and construction of associated drainage and a lateral support system.
Working for Match Power Investments Limited of Cheung Kong, the contract is due for completion by summer 2001.
