Skanska UK announces the appointment of Ian Iceton to the newly created role of Director, HR Operations.
Ian, who took up his new position on May 11th, joins Skanska from Volkswagen Group UK where he has spent the last seventeen years of his career, most recently as HR Director.
Reporting to Harvey Francis, Executive Vice President of Skanska UK, Ian’s experience will play a leading part in the ongoing development of the HR Function.
Over the last year the HR function at Skanska UK has made some significant changes and improvements to its operating model. This has included: the creation of a central shared service delivery function, hrDirect; the bringing in-house of the payroll function; and the transition to a Business Partnering model with the HR Business Partners now reporting to Ian but maintaining responsibility and accountability to the Operating Unit MD’s within Skanska UK.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Accountants, Ian is married with three children, a keen sportsman, with particular interest in Triathlons.
