Skanska’s David Wills, Kevin Akers and Michael Thompson have awarded the first Trade Contractor of the Month to Ian Baggaley, Ian Pegg and Des Moore of Herbert Baggaley Construction Limited.
The Trade Contractor of the Month prize is awarded to the best performing trade contractor in terms of health and safety on the scheme and is open to all companies working on site.
"The introduction of the trade contractor of the month award is part of our ongoing strategy to raise the bar on health and safety performance and to develop our supply chain partners’ mindsets in the process,” said David Wills, Technical Director, Skanska.
Baggaley is currently working with Skanska Innisfree on the first phase of the refurbishment of Mansfield Community Hospital, part of the £320 million Central Nottinghamshire Hospitals PFI Scheme.
Under the scheme, King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield and Mansfield Community Hospital will be redeveloped with brand new facilities, combined with additional investment at Newark General Hospital, with all three being maintained by Skanska Innisfree for 32 years following construction.
