Skanska UK Plc appoints new Executive Vice President

Nicholas Pollard has been appointed to the board of Skanska UK Plc as Executive Vice President with responsibility for the company’s PFI/PPP Business Stream.

Nick takes up his new position on 1st January and succeeds Simon Hipperson, who has been promoted to President of Skanska BOT (Build Operate Transfer) with responsibility for developing Skanska’s PPP (Public Private Partnerships) activities globally.

Nick began his career in construction, working initially in the petro-chemical and power generation sector then moving onto light railways, motorway and utilities schemes. For the last seven years, he has been a director in Network Rail undertaking various roles, predominately focussed on performance and productivity improvement.

David Fison, Chief Executive, Skanska UK Plc said: “Nick’s experience in both private and public sector organisations, together with his skills in leadership, organisational growth and major programme management will add real strength to the Skanska UK board”.

Nick Pollard (46) is married with one son and one daughter.
