Kvaerner Construction’s PFI team has put the finishing touches to Wales’s first hospital to be completed under the Government’s Private Finance Initiative. Chepstow’s new £10 million Neighbourhood Health Unit opens its doors to patients this weekend.
The 86-bed hospital will provide a direct and integrated link between local hospital services and GP’s for a population of around 30,000 and with its state-of-the-art facilities will offer services such as an elderly day hospital, outpatient and Physiotherapy, x-ray department and a minor casualty unit.
