Providing a wide range of services
Woking Borough Council serves a population of nearly 90,000 people. We provide total facilities management for 67 of its sites, including civic offices, theatres, leisure centres and sports facilities, shopping centres, car parks, public toilets and day care centres.
This includes range of mechanical, electrical and fabric services, as well as cleaning, window cleaning, car park security and pest control.
Nine people are directly employed by Skanska, supported by a team of around 100, employed indirectly. The contract, which could run for up to 10 years, is worth £3.2 million per annum.
Around the clock support
Our 24/7, 365-days-a-year helpdesk and on-call service responds to queries from the public and the customer. It ensures any problems can be fixed efficiently and effectively with minimum disruption.
By bringing together the management of these services, we provide a more cohesive and efficient service to the Woking community, adding value and continuously improving.
Better value for money
Using a true partnership approach, this contract has seen the council benefit from improved value for money across its facilities services and enhanced service levels. Money saved by the council can be put back into the local community.
