Skanska is holding a breakfast seminar where industry-leading speakers will debate the importance of facilities management in helping to improve workplace productivity.
The event, Beyond FM – defining the new productivity equation, will take place on 4 May in London and will be hosted by Skanska Managing Director Katy Dowding.
It follows the publication of The Stoddart Review at the beginning of 2017, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of the link between facilities management and workplace productivity.
This follows research by the World Green Building Council, which Skanska contributed to, which suggests a link between healthy buildings and people’s performance.
Speakers include Leesman’s Managing Director UK & Ireland, Chris Moriarty; the CBI’s Director of People and Skills, Neil Carberry and Stephen Roots, chairman of the BIFM.
Also taking part are Senior Director Johnny Dunford from BNP Paribas and Facilities and Estates Director Michael Flanagan from the University of Greenwich.
Katy Dowding said: “Facilities management has a huge role to play in helping businesses increase productivity. It also has a positive impact in lots of other ways: it can help to improve patient care and children’s educational environments. Our debate will consider how facilities management and real estate are a vital part of the formula for success for hospitals, universities, civic buildings and offices.”
